BINA JOINS STOCKTON FOR THE PLAYOFFS

FALCONS ASSIGN ROB BINA TO THE STOCKTON THUNDER
--R.J. Anderson Signs ATO Contract With Springfield--

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that they have assigned defenseman Rob Bina to their ECHL affiliate, the Stockton Thunder.  The Falcons also announced they have signed defenseman R.J. Anderson to an Amateur Tryout Agreement.

Bina has split the 2008-09 campaign between Stockton and Springfield.  In 37 games with the Falcons this year, he has one goal and seven assists for eight points and 30 penalty minutes.  Bina has also registered one goal and seven assists for eight points in 28 games with the Thunder.  Bina is expected to join Stockton for their first round playoff series against the Ontario Reign starting on Friday night.

Anderson recently concluded his collegiate career with the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers before appearing in three games with the ECHL’s Johnstown Chiefs.  The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Lino Lakes, Minnesota totaled 26 career points in 151 games in four years with the University of Minnesota.

The Falcons conclude their 2008-09 regular season this weekend when they travel to Bridgeport on Friday, followed by Hartford on Saturday.  Falcons center Ryan Potulny remains four goals shy of John LeBlanc’s club record for markers in a year with 39 set during the 1994-95 campaign.
