FALCONS SHUT OUT IN PROVIDENCE 6-0
January 31, 2010 - The Springfield Falcons lost to the Providence Bruins 6-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI. Zach Hamill, Jamie Arniel, Kirk MacDonald, and Brad Marchand scored for Providence in the opening period giving them a four-goal cushion.
Trent Whitfield added a pair of goals in the second period for Providence giving them a 6-0 lead through 40 minutes. Springfield's Jason Pitton and Providence's Jordan Knackstedt dropped the gloves in the second period with Pitton scoring the knockdown.
