FALCONS CONCLUDE A BUSY WEEK IN THE COMMUNITY

February 11, 2010 - The Springfield Falcons recently concluded a busy week off the ice with multiple player events and they are now set for three games in three days this weekend back on the ice.  The busy week started this past Monday, February 8 with #19 Colton Fretter and Screech making a visit to Fausey Elementary School in West Springfield.  Fretter and Screech took part in a school assembly in which they helped build awareness for Haiti Relief.  More than 500 kids attended this special event and both Fretter and Screech entertained the kids with a variety of interactive activities.

Later Monday evening, #22 Ryan O'Marra and #24 Theo Peckham headed to Red Robin Gourmet Burgers in Holyoke to take part in 10% Night benefiting the Humane Society.  O'Marra and Peckham went from table to table interacting with fans in attendance signing autographs and taking pictures.  10% of each tab went to benefit the Humane Society.

On Tuesday, February 9, #12 Geoff Paukovich went above and beyond the call of duty heading to North Adams, MA to visit Northern Berkshire Youth Hockey taking part in their practice.  Paukovich helped youngsters throughout the practice and signed autographs after the skate.  While Paukovich was in the Northern Berkshires promoting the Falcons, #32 Chris Armstrong was at the Olympia Ice Arena in West Springfield visiting the kids with WTM Youth Hockey.
