FALCONS SIGN JESSE GIMBLETT TO ATO CONTRACT
--Jason Pitton Released From ATO--
March 30, 2010 – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that they have signed forward Jesse Gimblett to an Amateur Tryout Agreement. The Falcons also announced they have released forward Jason Pitton from his ATO contract and he will join their ECHL affiliate, the Stockton Thunder.
Gimblett spent three seasons with the University of Alberta where he collected 32 goals and 32 assists for 64 points in 89 games. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Newtonville, Ontario tied a career high in goals last year with 12.
Pitton has played in 25 games with the Falcons this year collecting one goal, one assist and 22 penalty minutes. Pitton started the campaign with the Thunder totaling eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points in 34 games.
