This is the third and final phase of the Falcons' online jersey auction benefitting tornado relief. A final total amount of monies raised will be announced at the conclusion of the online jersey auction.
On June 3, the Falcons made a $2,500 donation to the Pioneer Valley Chapter of the Red Cross to assist those people affected by the tornado that hit Western Massachusetts on June 1. Falcons’ majority owner, Charlie Pompea, also made a personal donation of $5,000 to the Pioneer Valley Chapter of the Red Cross to benefit tornado relief efforts.
On June 4, the Falcons set up a drop off area in front of their offices on Falcons Way, allowing individuals to make donations of clothing, blankets or cash to benefit multiple agencies in the tornado relief efforts. Individuals who made a donation at the Falcons’ drop off area received a ticket voucher good for any Sunday home game during the 2011-12 Falcons’ season. The Falcons also collected another $1,250 for the Red Cross on June 4.
