FALCONS SUMMER BBQ COMING SOON

FALCONS TO HOST 5TH ANNUAL SUMMER BARBEQUE
--Presented By Big Y Foods--

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today they will host their fifth annual “Falcons Summer Barbeque” presented by Big Y Foods on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 5-8:00 PM at the Amelia Park Ice Arena located at 21 South Broad Street in Westfield, MA.

The event is an exclusive barbeque for ticket package holders and corporate partners.  Invitations with RSVP information will be sent out the week of August 1-5.

“This continues to be a very successful event and once again gives us a chance to say thank you to our ticket holders and corporate partners,” said Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon.  “We are looking forward to another fun event this year.”

Falcons’ staff members will be serving the free food provided by Big Y Foods, while Mansfield Paper, Wise Potato Chips and Coke have also donated product for this year’s event.  The award winning Cow Pucks BBQ Team will also be assisting with the food preparation at this year’s event.

Headquartered in Springfield, MA, Big Y is one of the largest independently owned supermarket chains in New England.  Proud to be family owned and operated, they currently operate 61 locations throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts with over 10,000 employees.  Founded in 1936 by brothers Paul and Gerald D’Amour, the store was named after an intersection in Chicopee, Massachusetts where two roads converge to form a “Y.”  This year, the company celebrates its 75th anniversary.
