August 26, 2011 - The Springfield Falcons held their annual summer BBQ for ticket package holders and sponsors on Thursday, August 25 at Amelia Park Ice Arena in Westfield and once again the event was very well attended.

Falcons Majority Owner Charlie Pompea was in attendance, along with Falcons President and GM Bruce Landon, Head Coach Rob Riley and Assistant Coach Brad Larsen.  Free hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soda and water were given out to the hundreds in attendance as a thank you to the team's most loyal core of fans and supporters.

“This continues to be a very successful event and once again gives us a chance to say thank you to our ticket holders and corporate partners,” said Landon.  “We are looking forward to another fun season this year.”

Falcons’ staff members served the free food provided by Big Y Foods, while Mansfield Paper, Wise Potato Chips and Coke also donated product for this year’s event.  The award winning Cow Pucks BBQ Team assisted with the food preparation at this year’s event.
