FALCONS DAILY UPDATE - 2 PLAYER SIGNINGS

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that defenseman Raymond Macias has signed a Professional Tryout Agreement, while center Ryan Garlock has been signed to a standard American Hockey League contract.

Macias started this season with the ECHL’s Reading Royals registering a +1 rating in two games played.  The 6-foot-1, 198-pound native of Long Beach, CA is in his fifth professional season after splitting the previous three seasons between the AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters and the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche.

Macias has appeared in eight career NHL contests, all with the Avalanche.  He has also played in 173 career AHL games totaling 17 goals and 45 assists for 62 points. 

Garlock started the season with Springfield on a Professional Tryout Agreement while collecting five assists during the Falcons’ first five games.

Garlock spent the 2010-11 campaign with the Connecticut Whale colleting three goals and 18 assists and 50 penalty minutes in 71 games.  The 6-foot, 202-pound native of Iroquois Falls, Ontario is entering his sixth professional season and has posted 66 career points in 255 career AHL contests, including six games with the Falcons during the 2007-08 campaign.
