FALCONS ANNOUNCE MULTIPLE TRANSACTIONS
DAINTON AND YORK ADDED TO FALCONS ROSTER
--Bruess and Motherwell Released From PTO Contracts--
Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that goaltender Paul Dainton has been recalled from the ECHL’s Reading Royals. The team also announced that netminder Allen York has been reassigned to the Falcons from their ECHL affiliate, the Chicago Express. Both goaltenders were added to the Falcons roster due to injuries to both Manny Legace and Mark Dekanich.
The Falcons also announced that forward Trevor Bruess and defenseman Brett Motherwell have been released from their Professional Tryout Agreements.
Dainton has appeared in three games for the Falcons this year posting a mark of 1-2-0. He has also spent time with the ECHL’s Chicago Express recording a mark of 6-3-3 with a 3.25 goals against average and .896 save percentage. Most recently, Dainton has played in three games with Reading where he went 1-2 with a 3.03 goals against average and .933 save percentage.
York has split time between the Chicago Express, Columbus Blue Jackets and Falcons this year. York has played in five games for the Falcons this season posting a record of 1-1.
Bruess played in five games for the Falcons and didn’t register a point and added five penalty minutes. Motherwell appeared in two games for Springfield and picked up one assist.
