OILERS RECALL JEFF DESLAURIERS FROM THE FALCONS

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that goaltender Jeff Deslauriers has been emergency recalled by their National Hockey League affiliate, the Edmonton Oilers.

Deslauriers has appeared in 54 games with the Falcons this season posting a record of 24-16-5 with a 2.91 goals against average and .911 save percentage.  Deslauriers leads all Falcons goaltenders in games played and wins.  This will be Deslauriers’ third recall to Edmonton this season and the 6-foot-4, 189-pound native of St-Jean-Richelieu, Quebec was drafted by the Oilers with their second choice (31st overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The Falcons return to action on Friday night when they head to Providence to battle the Bruins starting at 7:05 PM.  Springfield also travels to Hartford on Saturday evening before returning home on Wednesday, April 2 when they host the Worcester Sharks.  Single game tickets are on sale at the MassMutual Center Box Office and online at ticketmaster.com.  MassMutual Center Box Office hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday 10am – 4 pm, or four hours prior to an event.  Tickets can also be purchased by calling 413-787-6600.  All games can be heard live on WHYN AM 560 as well as the B-2 Network.
