FALCONS RECALL GLENN FISHER FROM THUNDER

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that they have recalled goaltender Glenn Fisher from their ECHL affiliate, the Stockton Thunder.  Fisher is expected to join the Falcons this weekend when they head to Providence on Friday and Hartford on Saturday.

This will be Fisher’s second recall to Springfield this season.  His first stint with the Falcons this campaign was back on December 22 when he was in uniform against the Houston Aeros, but didn’t play any minutes.  In 36 games with Stockton, the Edmonton, Alberta native has a record of 13-19-1 with a 3.29 goals against average and .904 save percentage.

Fisher is in his first professional season after spending four years with the University of Denver from 2003-2007.  Fisher was selected by the Oilers in round five (148th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The Falcons return to action on Friday night when they head to Providence to battle the Bruins starting at 7:05 PM.  Springfield also travels to Hartford on Saturday evening before returning home on Wednesday, April 2 when they host the Worcester Sharks.  Single game tickets are on sale at the MassMutual Center Box Office and online at ticketmaster.com.  MassMutual Center Box Office hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday 10am – 4 pm, or four hours prior to an event.  Tickets can also be purchased by calling 413-787-6600.  All games can be heard live on WHYN AM 560 as well as the B-2 Network.
