LABATT BLUE BUBBLE HOCKEY CONTINUES
LABATT BLUE AHL BUBBLE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS CONTINUES THIS WEEKEND
February 22, 2012 – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that the 2012 Labatt Blue AHL Bubble Hockey Tournament of Champions continues this weekend at JT’s Sports Pub located on Main Street in downtown Springfield from 9:30-11:30 pm on Saturday, February 25. This special tournament also continues on Tuesday, February 28 from 7-9 pm at the Hooters located on Riverdale Road in West Springfield with #27 Cody Goloubef, #13 Cam Atkinson, #4 Dalton Prout and #14 Ryan Garlock all set to be in attendance.
The 2012 Labatt Blue Bubble Hockey Tournament of Champions presented by the AHL is now under way in 11 participating AHL cities and entry is free, and no purchase is necessary. Players must be 21 or older to participate.
The tournament is taking place in three stages. During January and February, each participating team is hosting a series of qualifying nights in local sports bars, restaurants and taverns. A total of eight qualifiers from each city will advance to the team finals, which will be held in AHL arenas to determine each team champion. Finally, the 11 individual team winners will advance and earn a trip to the ultimate Tournament of Champions, scheduled at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa., on March 31, 2012.
The winner of the 2012 Labatt Blue Tournament of Champions presented by the AHL will receive a Labatt Blue AHL Bubble Hockey game and a mini replica Calder Cup trophy from the AHL. For a full tournament schedule please visit theahl.com.
Ticket packages for the 2012-13 season are on sale and can be purchased by calling the Falcons Office at 413-739-GOAL. The Falcons offer a variety of flexible ticket options including: full season plans, 22-game packages, 14-game plans and 7-game packages. Anyone making at least a $50 deposit by April 14 will receive a limited edition Season Ticket Holder Falcons Jersey. Each package includes flexible payment plans and exclusive invites to special events held throughout the season.
