FALCONS TAKE PART IN LITERACY NIGHT

March 15, 2012 - The Springfield Falcons continued their strong community outreach program on Thursday night as Nick Holden and team mascot "Screech" attended "Literacy Night" at Chapin Street School in Ludlow from 6-8 pm. Holden and Screech signed autographs for youngsters in attendance and also took part in some of the special activities going on during this special evening.

This was an evening focused on education and reading and both Holden and Screech helped play Bingo for Books during the night. Youngsters attending could select free books as prizes if their Bingo card was the lucky winner. There was also story time in the library and a book fair ongoing throughout the night. There was also free ice cream and popcorn for all families in attendance.
The Falcons continue to partner with Ludlow Public Schools each and every school and hockey season with a variety of School Spirit Nights at Falcons home games.
The Falcons send a special thank you to all of the families who attended and it was an enjoyable night for everyone.
