SCREECH TO VISIT 2 COMMUNITY EVENTS THIS WEEKEND

-“Screech” to attend March of Dimes Walk and Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary-

May 4, 2012 – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that their team mascot “Screech” will be attending a pair of community events on Saturday, May 5 as part of the team’s community outreach program.  The Falcons will be represented at both the March for Babies Walk at Forest Park starting at 9 am presented by March of Dimes, followed by “Screech” visiting the Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary celebration at the Mullins Center in Amherst in the afternoon.

The March for Babies Walk is an annual event and one of the March of Dimes biggest fundraisers during the calendar year.  Hundreds of walkers take part in this special event that supports premature babies and their families.  Registration starts at 9 am before the walk begins at 10 am.

The Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary celebration continues a strong partnership between the Falcons and the Girls Scouts of America.  There will be activities focusing on the past, present and future of Girl Scouting.  The Falcons join forces with the Girl Scouts during the hockey season to offer families a discounted evening of entertainment and fun at select Falcons home games at the MassMutual Center.  Doors open at 9 am at the Mullins Center with “Screech” scheduled to appear during the lunch time hour.

Ticket packages for the 2012-13 season are on sale and can be purchased by calling the Falcons Office at 413-739-GOAL.  The Falcons offer a variety of flexible ticket options including:  full season plans, 22-game packages, 14-game plans and 7-game packages.  Each package includes flexible payment plans and exclusive invites to special events held throughout the season.
