Nick Tarnasky, Springfield’s resident tough guy from 2004-06 and again for another stint in 2010-11, was always a fan favorite when he donned the Falcons’ sweater. Tarnasky skated in 214 games for Springfield, collecting 60 points (28g-32a) and 426 penalty minutes during his time in the Pioneer Valley.
Tarnasky has also spent time in the NHL playing with Tampa Bay, Nashville and Florida. Over 245 NHL games, he netted 13 goals and added 17 helpers for 30 points along with 297 penalty minutes.
After a year in the KHL playing for Chekhov Vityaz, Tarnasky is back in the AHL skating for the Rochester Americans, where he currently has 15 points (9g-6a) in 42 contests.
