FALCONS FAMILY WALKS FOR BREAST CANCER
SPRINGFIELD FALCONS WALK FOR BREAST CANCER

October 29, 2007 – The Springfield Falcons players' wives, girlfriends, staff, family and friends participated in the Rays of Hope Walk held on Sunday, October 28th at Forest Park in Springfield to raise money for the fight against Breast Cancer. On a beautiful October day in Springfield, the Falcons Family helped raise over $1,200 for a great cause.
“I am so thrilled to be a part of this walk and this organization,” said Chris Gouzounis, Falcons’ Senior Account Executive and Walk Co-Captain, whose wife is a breast cancer survivor. “It’s just amazing to me how these people who just arrived in the area want to jump right in and assist my family, and so many like mine, in this important battle.”
The Rays of Hope Walk is now in its 14th year and has raised over $5 million to date. Rays of Hope - A Walk Toward the Cure of Breast Cancer was founded in 1994 by Springfield native, Lucy Giuggio, after she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 38. All funds raised for Rays of Hope are used throughout Western Massachusetts and its surrounding communities.
Falcons Wives, Girlfriends, Staff and Screech, the Falcons’ mascot, accepted donations and encouraged walkers to join them at the walk.
The Falcons want to thank everyone for their donations and support.
