OFFICIAL BLOG OF COLIN MCDONALD - THIRD EDITION

#18 Colin McDonald will be checking in with Falconsahl.com on a regular basis throughout the Spring and Summer as he keeps fans updated with his off-season workouts and adventures.  The following is McDonald's third edition of his official blog on Falconsahl.com.

  • Blog #1 - Off-Season Starts
  • Blog #2 - Weekend At The Cape Memorial Day Weekend
"What's Up With Colin - Colin McDonald's Official Blog - Third Edition"

I hope everyone was able to enjoy the weather this past weekend.  For my first time at the Cape, I had a really good time.  Where I stayed, there was no internet, cable, and I did not have my cell phone. It was very relaxing not having to depend on those necessities for a couple days.

I was in Chatham which is where the movie Summer Catch was filmed.  Although I wasn’t able to watch the baseball games on Memorial Day, it was nice to hear about the different ceremonies at each game supporting our troops.  I feel like everyone knows someone who has or is fighting for our country and Memorial Day gives us a chance to thank them and really show our appreciation for what they are doing.

May has to be one of the better months for sports.  Every night, you have the NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, and MLB baseball.  People in New England are lucky to be able to follow the success of both the Boston Celtics and the Boston Red Sox.  However, there is nothing more exciting to me than watching the NHL playoffs.  It was good to see the Penguins win in game three and make it a series.

Other than watching sports at night, I’ve been getting myself ready for camp since I leave for Edmonton on Sunday.  I am very much looking forward to work with the coaches there and to simply play hockey again for a week.  It will also be nice to see the guys that were in Springfield this year as I have not seen them since the season ended.

I would just like to thank our season ticket holders for reaching our goal.  Hockey has been in Springfield a long time and we are very happy we were able to continue the tradition thanks to you!

I hope everyone is doing well and I will do my best to write next week from my hotel room in Edmonton.

Colin
