The Springfield Falcons announced Monday night that forward Jack Skille, who was returned on loan to Springfield Saturday and recalled on an emergency basis Sunday, has been returned to Springfield by the Columbus Blue Jackets, the team’s NHL affiliate.
Skille has appeared in seven games with the Blue Jackets, totaling two goals and a +2 rating. In six games with the Falcons this season, the 6-foot-1, 220-pound winger has recorded three points (two goals, one assist) and a +1 rating.
A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Skille was a first round draft selection of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2005. He has played in 185 NHL games, totaling 51 points (22 goals, 29 assists) for the Blue Jackets, Blackhawks and Florida Panthers.
The first-place Falcons are back in action Friday, December 20 when they visit the Providence Bruins at 7:05 p.m. Springfield has earned a point in five consecutive games.
