Student Prince Cafe and Fort Restaurant present Throwback Thursday: Liam Reddox
Liam Reddox played parts of three seasons with the Springfield Falcons, appearing in 149 games and totaling 88 points, 39 goals, 49 assists and 74 penalty minutes. He also tallied 10 game-winning goals, which ranks fifth in franchise history, tied with Cam Atkinson and Jeff Taffe.
After beginning his pro career in the ECHL with the Stockton Thunder in 2006-07, Reddox joined the Falcons for the 2007-08 campaign. In his first AHL season, he registered 44 points (16 goals, 28 assists), 48 penalty minutes and a team-high +10 rating. The Whitby, Ontario native also played his first NHL game that year, appearing in one contest for the Edmonton Oilers.
Reddox spent the majority of the 2008-09 season with the Oilers, playing in 46 NHL games and only 14 with the Falcons. In those 14 contests, he notched nine points (five goals, four assists) and two penalty minutes. With Edmonton, the 5-foot-10, 181-pound winger recorded 12 points (five goals, seven assists), 10 penalty minutes and a -6 rating.
In 2009-10, his last year with the Falcons, Reddox amassed 35 points (18 goals, 17 assists) and 24 penalty minutes in 70 games with Springfield. After his third year with the organization, Edmonton and Springfield ended their affiliation agreement. Reddox played 37 games for the AHL’s Oklahoma City Barons in 2010-11 before leaving North America to play overseas in Sweden. He currently plays for Vaxjo HC of the Swedish Hockey League.
In 100 career NHL games, Reddox has totaled 24 points (six goals, 18 assists) and 34 penalty minutes.
