The Springfield Falcons announced Monday that forward Sean Collins was recalled by the Columbus Blue Jackets, the team’s NHL affiliate. A seventh-round selection of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Collins played five games with Columbus in 2012-13.

In three games with Springfield so far this season, Collins has no points, five shots on goal, two penalty minutes and a +1 rating. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native posted 31 points (11 goals, 20 assists) in 64 games with the Falcons a season ago.

Collins is the second Falcons forward to be recalled in the last four days, as the team's captain Ryan Craig left for Columbus Friday, October 11.

The Falcons are back in action Friday, October 18 when they visit Providence to take on the Bruins for the first of 10 meetings between the two teams in 2013-14. The team’s next home game at the MassMutual Center is Saturday, October 26 versus the Worcester Sharks at 7:00 p.m.
