TIM MILLER TRADED TO SAN ANTONIO

The Springfield Falcons announced Thursday that the team has acquired defenseman Denny Urban from the San Antonio Rampage in exchange for forward Tim Miller. The team also announced that forward Alex Aleardi has been loaned to the ECHL’s Evansville IceMen.
 
Urban, 25, has played 30 games for the Rampage this season, totaling eight assists, 10 penalty minutes and a +3 rating. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native made his AHL debut with the Worcester Sharks a season ago, appearing in 36 games and amassing 17 points (four goals, 13 assists). A product of Robert Morris University, Urban began his professional career with the Reading Royals of the ECHL, joining the team at the end of the 2010-11 campaign. 
 
Miller, 26, was acquired by the Falcons in a trade with the Chicago Wolves earlier this season. In 21 games with the Falcons, the Davisburg, Michigan native registered 10 points (one goal, nine assists), 32 penalty minutes and a +2 rating. Miller also appeared in three games with the ECHL’s Evansville IceMen this season.
 
Aleardi, 21, has played in 40 games with the Falcons this season, notching 15 points (seven goals, eight assists), 18 penalty minutes and a +6 rating. The 5-foot-9, 167-pound winger joined Springfield at the end of the 2012-13 season after spending the majority of the campaign with the Plymouth Whalers and Windsor Spitfires of the OHL.
 
The Falcons are back in action Friday, February 21 at the Manchester Monarchs in a battle of the top two teams in the Eastern Conference. Springfield returns to the MassMutual Center for back-to-back home games Saturday, February 22 versus the Hartford Wolf Pack and Sunday, February 23 versus the Norfolk Admirals.
