The Springfield Falcons (34-17-1-5) earned three of a possible four points last week. Springfield was defeated by the Providence Bruins in a shootout at home Saturday night before topping the Worcester Sharks by the final score of 2-1 Sunday afternoon.
Through 57 games, the Falcons currently rank third in the American Hockey League in wins (34), point total (74) and points percentage (.649) and remain atop the Northeast Division, leading the second-place Albany Devils by seven points.
The Falcons continue its current road trip with three games away from the MassMutual Center this weekend – Friday at the Hartford Wolf Pack, Saturday at the Adirondack Phantoms and Sunday at the Portland Pirates.

Springfield 2, Providence 3 (SO)
Saturday, March 1
The Falcons lost in a shootout to the Providence Bruins Saturday night at home, earning a point with the third-period comeback. Sean Collins evened the score at 2-2 with 6:46 to play in the final frame, sending the game to overtime. Former Bruin Carter Camper was the only Falcon to convert in the shootout, while Seth Griffith and Justin Florek each scored to give Providence the victory after eight rounds.
Springfield 2, Worcester 1
Sunday, March 2
Despite being outshot, 29-11, Sunday in Worcester, the Falcons defeated the Sharks by the final score of 2-1. Jack Skille registered a goal and an assist, extending his current point streak to five games. Jean-Francois Jacques scored the game-winning goal at 17:01 of the second period, breaking a 1-1 tie. For Jacques, the tally was his fourth game-winner of the season, tying Jonathan Marchessault for most of the team.

Forward Jack Skille and defenseman Tim Erixon each are riding a current five-game point streak. Since February 4, Skille has played in five games and totaled seven points (three goals, four assists). In five games dating back to February 15, Erixon has amassed six points (one goal, five assists). Springfield forward Jean-Francois Jacques has registered a point in each of his last three games, totaling two goals and an assist.
Falcons captain Ryan Craig is climbing on a number of the team’s all-time record lists. Craig ranks eighth in points (128), fifth in goals (68), eighth in games played (220), tied for second in game-winning goals (11) and first in power-play goals (32). The Abbotsford, British Columbia native scored his franchise-best 32nd power-play goal in the team’s 3-2 shootout loss versus Providence.
ATOP THE NORTHEAST DIVISION
At 34-17-1-5, the Falcons lead the Northeast Division by seven points over the second-place Albany Devils. Springfield’s .649 points percentage, 34 wins and 74 points are all good for third-best in the American Hockey League.
Newly-acquired forward Carter Camper made his Falcons debut Saturday versus his former team, the Providence Bruins. In his first game with Springfield, the Rocky River, Ohio native registered the primary assist on Ryan Craig’s power-play goal, while also serving as the only Falcon to convert in the shootout. The team is now 1-0-0-1 with Camper in the active lineup, earning a victory Sunday over Worcester in his second game with Springfield.
PINK IN THE RINK ONLINE JERSEY AUCTION
The Springfield Falcons Pink in the Rink specialty jerseys are currently up for auction on the team’s eBay page. All of the game-worn sweaters are up for auction, in addition to game-issued jerseys as well. The auction will end Thursday, March 6 at 8:00 p.m., with each jersey’s end time separated by five minutes.

Heather O'Reilly, a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist with the United States Women's National soccer team, will sign autographs at the Falconsgame March 22 versus the Manchester Monarchs. In addition to her Olympic success, O'Reilly also won two NCAA National Championships at the University of North Carolina, a WPS championship with SKY Blue FC, and a Bronze (2007) and Silver Medal (2011) at the World Cup.
