The Springfield Falcons announced Tuesday the acquisition of forward Tim Miller by way of a trade with the Chicago Wolves in return for future considerations.
Miller has spent the last three seasons with Chicago, totaling 64 points (32 goals, 32 assists), 157 penalty minutes and a +17 rating in 168 games. His most productive season came in 2011-12 when he posted 38 points (19 goals, 19 assists) and a +19 rating in 75 regular-season games. He also added two goals in five postseason games that year.
The Davisburg, Michigan native also played 22 games for the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch between the 2008-09 and 2009-10 season, as well as 90 games for the ECHL’s Gwinnett Gladiators between 2009-10 and 2010-11.
Miller – a product of the University of Michigan – has played in four games with Chicago this season, recording seven penalty minutes and a -2 rating.
The Falcons are back in action Friday, November 8 versus the Adirondack Phantoms at the MassMutual Center for Hometown Heroes Night presented by the University of New Haven. The game is set for 7:00 p.m.
