FALCONS SIGN DEFENSEMAN DARCY CAMPBELL TO PTO

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that defenseman Darcy Campbell has signed a Professional Tryout Agreement.

The 6-foot-1, 198-pound native of Airdrie, Alberta has appeared in three games with the Falcons’ ECHL affiliate, Chicago Express, this season collecting two assists. 

Campbell spent the 2010-11 campaign with the Central Hockey League’s Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees where he led all Rio Grande defensemen in scoring with 16 goals and 46 assists for 62 points in 60 games.  He also led his team in assists last year, while finishing second in scoring.

Campbell made his NHL/pro debut with the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2006-07 season after completing his collegiate career with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.  Campbell spent three seasons at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks from 2004-2007 where he collected 50 points in 114 games.
